Last week, we showcased the rst part of Winning Governors of 2015. This week, we are showing Part 2. Like we stated the week before, in our colourful history as a country of power struggles of varying shades, whether seized by military decrees or engineered by ' democratic' strategists, 2015 will be remembered as the year of the biggest seismic shift in power that we have ever seen and curiously it had a avour of military influences married with new day democracy maneuvering. This shift has produced a new class of governors: some new in the sense that they won power from the hands of incumbents as the opposition leader in their states; one new for winning re-election in a state with a stubborn history of one-term governors; others new for winning a second term but are now under di erent federal leadership from their rst term. The governors altogether, no matter their circumstance, represent a new dawn, a new day of governance for Nigeria, beacons of hope and aspirations for the citizens that toiled in the sun and rain to press their thumb to ballot paper and ensure their ascent or re-ascent to power. Before we start tasking them on matters of state (which we will de nitely do as the months pass) the Style Desk in this edition seeks to interface with a softer side of them, their style, fashion quirks, their take on dressing for the business of governance. Who’s the most fashionably savvy of the lot? Which of them dress to impress? Which governor goes beyond babanrigas and agbadas? Which one has a most impeccable taste of wrist watches (of course we trust that such luxurious tastes is supported by personal funds.). We ask these questions and more in this edition. While they hopefully make history for development and paying the peoples' con dence back, we certainly won't mind for them to enter fashion books for being sartorially successful...
