It was while working there she helped out at weddings, parties and other events. Recognizing this was more that just a hobby and the significance of managing outstanding events –with great ambition and confidence, Bisola established Trendy Beevents and applied for an Event Management course at the Lovegevity Wedding Institute in America. Four years down the line, Trendy Bee Elite Event, has become a brand to identify with.

There has been major growth in the Event Planning industry in the last several years, causing it to become more competitive than ever. How did you get started in this business?

A friend of mine based in America then felt I was the life of the party, called me up to plan her wedding introduction in Nigeria and I accepted. For me, that just sounded like fun and really I was just being a good, supportive friend .The success of that event , made them hire me for the engagement then the white wedding after which I started getting enquires to plan bigger events. This was how I finally discovered what I was passionate about. Once I discovered my love for Event Planning, I knew I had to choose between going full-time into it or sticking to the my 9-5, I chose my passion.

In the beginning stages of launching your business, how did you support yourself? Did you ever work for free and would you recommend others do so as well when they are starting off?

My first job was free but I worked with so much joy from my soul, never mentioning money and totally loved every bit of it. But afterwards, I was always offered money and that was when I realized I could make money doing what I love, which to me was amazing. I was finally free. I had worked for four years only looking forward to pay day, but now I get to make money doing exactly what I love.

What is the most challenging part?

I am a control freak, and sometimes I would feel like no one can do it the way I will want so delegating work was super hard. But now the business has grown, I have a superb growing team that produce amazing results that I am so proud of.

What is your favorite part about running your own business?

Bonding with my clients and making positive life changing decisions that would make a client grateful.

What changes have you noticed in the industry from when you first started out to now?

Well most events use to be plain boring! But right
