What inspired your collection?

Women in general and the struggles of women. The whole perception of how masculinity is dominating the society. That’s why it’s called ‘girl behind the mask’. A woman who does not understand her worth but at the end she’s a bird that can fly and do what ever. The mask never goes away because the society stays, but she finds a way to control it. What do you think was the highlight of AFW?

I think everything, the models, the runway even though I wasn’t able to watch a lot of the shows because I’ve been very busy. Describe the Arise Fashion Week in three words Amazing, exciting, fun! What are your expectations for future shows?

Everything is great. It’s a great platform for African designers. It should keep pushing us forward. More international coverage and international models.
