In this week’s edition we celebrate plus size women who are BIG ON STYLE. Some of these women are admired for their confidence and strength of character which reflects in their carriage. They can dare to wear the same styles as slimmer women would and carry it off just as well. They are not afraid to experiment with various trends. I liken it to a movie where one person plays two characters. One character is somewhat nondescript while the other is captivating. So much so that when both characters are placed together, even though they look like two peas in a pod, their personalities are so different that they might as well be night and day! You automatically gravitate towards one and not the other. That, is the same feel with some plus size women...their confidence and personality is what pulls you first before their sense of style.
The same approach also applies in the opposite case. Nigerian KAMARU USMAN is the MMA (mix martial arts) world champion. He has been the holder of this highly respected, world acclaimed belt for several years. You will not think so when you see his size. With his 19-1 wins, it is safe to say that aside from skill and physical strength, another major thing that works to Kamaru’s advantage is his sharp and very disciplined mind. He reiterates mental state of mind being a major key point in his career which further proves that what you see goes way beyond what you look at. There is usually a lot more going on internally than you see externally. The phrase never judge a book by its cover springs to mind.
