STYLE STARS
Despite fewer red-carpet outings this year, a slew of formidable females still showed up on the fashion front, inspiring us through style. Style icons are those who push us forward, breaking with convention and simultaneously reminding women to eschew barriers in the fashion world. Mirror mirror on the wall, who are the Style Stars for this week? Not so easy with the mass of trendy fashionistas but the few mentioned below have caught our eyes lately and must be noticed.
FISAYO LONGE
Of course, no roundup of this list would be complete without mentioning the mirror girl. She has this perfectly imperfect, minimalist aesthetic that tons of style mavens look to for inspiration. In short, her style and attitude are testament to what can happen when you love and celebrate yourself. This is what true confidence looks and feels like.
When it comes to style, Toke must of course, not be missing. The media personality is one of the most important fashion personalities in Nigeria and has built a brand thanks to her daring and colourful style. No pattern is wild enough for Toke, no colour too bright and no top too short, she loves to attract attention and is therefore, right to be one of our style stars.
She is certainly one of the most copied women in Nigeria when it comes to perfectly coordinated looks. Chioma has a way of mixing streetwear, sexy basics, and high fashion, and can definitely turn it all the way up to high glam for a night out.
CHIOMA IKOKWU
Not surprisingly, and rightly so, Traciee has made it on our list of style stars this week. Her classic looks are always elegant, super luxurious and always with that certain something that exudes selfconfidence and success.
TRACIEE
RITA DOMINIC
Rita is known for her A game when it comes to fashion, whether it’s red-carpet glamour or offduty looks, she wears everything with glamour. With more than 20 years of Nollywood awards and nominations, no one embodies classic red-carpet glamour quite like her. She is more than qualified to be our style star this week.
