TOBI AMUSAN SMASHES WORLD RECORD
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has smashed a world record in the women’s 100-meter hurdles in the semifinals at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Amusan, who was fourth at the Tokyo Olympics and at the last worlds in 2019, clocked 12.12 seconds in Sunday’s semifinals at Hayward Field. In the final, she won in 12.06. Jamaican Britany Anderson took silver, followed by Olympic gold medalist Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico.
