ASA SUES JOEBOY OVER COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

Nigerian singer, Bukola Elemide, popularly known as Asa, has issued a copyright infringement notice to Joeboy following the release of his song, ‘Contour’. In a letter sent by her lawyers and to Joeboy (Joseph Akinwale AkinfenwaDonus), which he posted on his Instagram Story, she revealed accusations of a copyright suit stemming from the composition of Joeboy’s record. She also demanded from him the sum of N300 million, a 60% publishing split on the song, a written apology and asked that he immediately remove the song from all digital streaming platforms within 24 hours.
