IFEANYI UBAH AT IT AGAIN!

-

To watchers of happenings in the nation’s political landscape, Ifeanyi Uba is one name that is synonymous with controversy. In fact, to put it mildly, the Capital Oil boss soared high the wings of controversy when he lavished millions of naira on his 40th birthday some years back.

Recall that he was allegedly involved in a N21billion involving the boss of Coscahris Motors, Cosmas Maduka. When the deal turned awry, Maduka cried foul, alleging that he was duped by the young businessman.

Typical of a man who likes to court controversy, he was forced to go underground after his Anambra State governorship ambition was truncated.

However, Ubah seems to have plotted another strategy to remain in our political consciousness, as he claimed to be the sole financier of the controversial Transformation Agenda of Nigeria (TAN). In his calculations, this is the best platform to worm his way into the heart of President Goodluck Jonathan, after his romance with the Labour Party.

But just when you thought that he had sloughed his thread-bare garb of controversy, Ubah is reported to have courted another controversy. This time, he is alleged to be owing some of the participants ferried to the venue of the solidarity march for the secondterm ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan. He and some other TAN officials were said to have been held hostage recently at the venue of one of the rallies by unpaid participants for many hours.

deal you care to know, the Anambra Stateborn politician has since come out of her shell and she is rearing to go.

This beautiful woman, who was enmeshed in an alleged N225 million car purchase scandal before her exit from the federal cabinet, has been moving from one part of the country to the other in recent times, mapping out strategies to re-launch her political career, an indication that her political career has not been consigned to the dungeon of history.

The ex-minister was spotted at Eagle Square, venue of the official declaration of President Goodluck Jonathan for second term and she was her bubbly self throughout the duration of the event. She attended the grand ceremony in company with her friends, loyalists as well as members of her community.

Stella hails from Akiliozizor in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State. She led the Neighbourto-Neighbour movement for President Jonathan’s presidential candidature in 2011. For her commitment, she was rewarded with a ministerial appointment soon after. As the then Aviation minister, she embarked on the task of re-modelling airports in the country and during her tenure, many airports in Nigeria were given face-lift.

the supreme in the social circles. He dominated the scene with his lifestyle. He was a heavy spender and major financier of several social events. He used to be the toast of many Fuji artistes and many of them benefited from his deep pocket. Recall that Fuji star, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka KI De Ultimate, sang his praise in several of his albums.

But like an anti-climax, the popular socialite suddenly fizzled out of the scene, unannounced! One of his friends and co-travelers on the social scene hinted Society Happenings that though the former Eti-Osa Local Government chairman still attends parties, he is not as reckless with money as he used to be. Rilwan, who is one of the top chieftains of All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, is a close associate of its national leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.
