-

Tuild up to the launch of one of the most anticipated albums of the year –‘ Chairman’ by MI, reached a fever pitch as the artist announced that the album features over 25 local and international artistes.

He made the announcement a recent Industry Nite event which turned into an album listening party at the Spice Route, Victoria Island. The album, which is his third, comes four years after dropping his last album ‘ Safe’. It features a stellar line up of some of Nigeria’s biggest names in the music industry.

He explained it took so long in coming. “I sincerely have to thank and appreciate my fans for their patience. What many people don’t know is that when Jesse and Brymo split from the label, it was a major blow to me, because we had already started work on the album.”

He also added that “But with patience and the grace of God, we were able to complete the album. Though it took a while, we’re here now and I hope my fans, who have been patiently waiting, can enjoy what I have put together for them”.

Emotions could not be contained when former label mates and siblings, Jude Abaga popularly known as MI and Jesse Jagz - real name Jesse Abaga - were reunited on stage. Jesse Jagz was responsible for the entire production credit on previous MI albums ‘ Talk About It’ and ‘ Safe’.

The album parades notable acts such as 2 Face, Phyno, Sound Sultan, Olamide, Runtown, Patoranking, Reminisce to mention a few. While the production prowess of Sarz, Pheelz, newcomers L37, G plus, Sammy Gyang and Reinhard were deployed towards making the album a hit; also not forgetting international acts Beanie Man and Sarkodie.
