Nwuche: Nigerians Should Vote God Fearing Leaders

- Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Chibudom Nwuche has enjoined Nigerians to vote for credible leaders who were God-fearing and who would be responsive to the yearnings of the people.

In a New Year message issued yesterday, Nwuche sued for peace, unity and patriotism amongst all Nigerians as we enter a new year.

He called for resilience on the part of all Nigerians and continuous commitment to the unity and stability of the country. He also urged massive support for President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governments at all levels.

He noted that President Jonathan had successfully begun a programme to modernise and transform Nigeria in various sectors including the railways, roads, power, health-care, education, pointing out that it was important for the programme to be properly entrenched in his second term, hence the need for continuity.

He noted that the bane of societal under-development was as a result of constant changes in government and personnel with scant regard for continuity, and urged Nigerians to keep faith with the government and their country as the current problems and challenges are only temporary and will be overcome.

“In the up-coming general elections this year, Nigerians should vote for credible leaders who are God-fearing and who will be responsive to the yearnings of the people.

“President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is a responsive and God-fearing leader who deserves the support of all Nigerians as he has manifestly demonstrated his ability to work harmoniously for the common good with well meaning Nigerians and political associates from all the political zones of the country, including the North East, North West, North Central, South West and South East”, he averred.
