Ogbuewu Accuses Elechi of Working against Jonathan
in Abakaliki Deputy Coordinator of Jonathan/ Sambo 2015 Presidential Campaign in Ebonyi state, Amb. Frank Ogbuewu has accused the state governor, Chief Martin Elechi of working against the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state in the forthcoming general election.
Briefing newsmen in Abakalaliki, the former Minister for Culture and Tourism noted that though Elechi has no capacity to make Jonathan lose in Ebonyi, the political situation in the state is unique as “this is the first time in the state where a PDP government is working for opposition - Labour Party in the state level and also pretending to be working for the PDP presidential candidate”.
Ogbuewu stressed that the ruling PDP in the state does not need the help of the governor to deliver Jonathan and all it candidates in the state, adding that “Elechi was not a member of PDP and there is no way such character can make Jonathan lose in the state”.
Ogbuewu, who was a former Ambassador to Greece assured that they were not scared to deliver Jonathan in the state because all the political gladiators in the state have united to ensure total victory for the party in the elections.
He also reaffirmed that the governorship candidature of Engr. Dave Umahi has once more united all the stakeholders and political bigwigs in the state, expressing optimism that Ebonyi will never be the same by the time Umahi wins because people would be free to volunteer ideas and money to develop the state.
