Sambo Holds Consultation with Stakeholders, Party Members in Kano
Vice-President, Namadi Sambo, is holding a meeting with the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the 44 local government areas of Kano State as part of his campaign strategy aimed at wooing votes from members and the electorate ahead of this month’s general election.
Sambo, who was in Kano on a two-day visit, used the visit to the state on Monday to inaugurate some projects executed by the federal government courtesy of Tertiary Education Fund (TETFUND) at the Bayero University Kano.
He, yesterday, also held extensive consultation with the PDP chieftains and candidates for state House of Assembly, House of Representatives and senatorial elections including the governorship candidate and his running in the state.
The Vice-president also held a meeting with other party stakeholders, business community and civil society leaders at Mundubawa residence of the Education Minister, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
An insider at the meeting told THISDAY under anonymity that, “it’s very a fruitful meeting as serious issues were discussed. Support was also disbursed to us with a view to ensuring the victory of the PDP.
“All the major issues affecting our party have been seriously discussed. We are hoping that victory is on our side ahead of the coming elections. I am optimistic that PDP will capture the state.”

used
the opportunity to rub minds with ward chairmen and secretaries of the party at Marhaba Cinema in their efforts to calm some frayed nerves ahead of the much-awaited election.
Sambo, whose visit was strictly political, did not visit the emir of Kano despite the fact that the Emir is out of the country and he also did pay a courtesy call on the state governor.
