SMIRNOFF ICE “SILENT DISCO” PARTY
idi Culture Festival popular beach event which recently took place at Eko Atlantic, “experienced for the first time in Nigeria, a “Silent Disco” presented by Smirnoff Ice Double Black and Guarana.
The Silent Disco which took place at the Smirnoff Tent hosted celebrities like rapper, Vector, On air personalities, N6 of Cool FM, SenseiUche of CityFM, CEO Dancer Ezinne and other amazing guests. Guests were treated to the new drink ‘Smirnoff Ice Double Black with Guarana’. The party was executed under the theme, ‘Great Music, Personal Headsets and a Silent Disco. The novelty party where each person listens to songs from different genre via individual headsets created a unique personal music experience.
Everyone in attendance had a great experience and left the guests wanting more at the end of the night.
“We weren’t sure what to think about the Silent party but as soon as we got our headphones on, we danced like no one was watching. What an epic night”, said, Gbemisola Ojo, a guest. The new Smirnoff Ice Double Black with Guarana brought an unexpected twist to the Gidi Culture Festival, showing visitors the double side of the music festival. The brand is set to extend the experience to more guests around the country by bringing a fresh new nightlife experience and the most memorable of experiences for everyone to enjoy over the next few months. University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos where students and youths across the country will be enlightened and empowered by the inspirational tales of prominent personalities who have been through the hurdles of life and emerge at the top unscathed.
Soriyan whose early days of life were marked with failures and disappointments was inspired to save the younger generation from repeating same mistakes with this initiative.

To achieve this, we use thought revolution to get young people think about enterprise, about stewardship of private properties, the kind of contribution they can make in a society and how they can succeed in a way society can be grateful.”
He continued, “Our goal is not just to put people out there and get them to be conscious of their material need but to make them realise that they are blessed as human beings and have a strength inside of them. They should use that strength to create resources for themselves and get that attraction in a way that promotes servitude and can help society to be appreciative of the kind of values they have. “ Said Soriyan Today, Zero2Hero boasts of individuals who are doing well in various sectors of the economy.
Speaking at a press conference recently, the comedian and TV host, Teju Babyface who is also a speaker at the event emphasised on the importance of empowering the young generation with this seminar. Citing himself as an example, he pointed out that if there are no platforms like this to help the young ones to have that conscious education to take charge of their destiny, they will not be able to maximise their potentials. He argued that there are some individuals who are skilled in some areas that are not included in the university curriculum, thus are discouraged to pursue their passion or create other avenues for personal wealth.
Other speakers at the event include Tiwa Soriyan, Yemi Ademulegun of EiE, Taiwo Akinlani, Timi Dakolo among others.
The event will hold on Friday, 24 April, at the University of Lagos, Akoka by midday. There will be five sessions and the guests will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers.
The guests will be entitled to join the Zero2Hero club where they will be trained by professionals in different fields and enjoy benefits such as internship and skill development in their field of choice.
Zero2Hero will visit six campuses this year and is supported by the Access Bank through the “Accelerate” promotion which appeals to the youth and offers them financial benefits.

Jenifa manages to borrow and even swindles one of her illiterate Aiyetoro ‘toasters’ to raise enough money for her exodus to Lagos. Jenifa’ s Diary follows this epic, comedic journey as she arrives in Lagos and lets all hell loose!

Jenifa is particularly attached to her diary in which she writes down her daily experiences and uses the medium to involve the audience in her thoughts and actions! With nine spots taken in the Top 12 of Nigerian Idol season IV, 10 contestants who were voted out during the Top-30 stage will engage in a fierce battle tonight for the last three spots in the Top 12.
The judging trio of Dede Mabiaku, Darey Art-Alade and Yinka Davies will be picking three contestants who will join nine other ones, selected from cumulative of votes gathered during the weeks preceding their eviction nights.
Speaking on the wild card show, Modupe Thani, Heads Events & Sponsorship, Etisalat Nigeria, said the Judges’ expertise and experience would come to bear in deciding contestants for the last three spots.
