-

The Executive Secretary, Board of Trustees and the entire members of Children’s Anti-Corruption Initiative (CACTI) have congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), on his victory at the 2015 presidential poll.

The group, in a statement issued by Executive Secretary, CACTI, Omololu Akinwande, expressed confidence that Buhari’s success at the poll would bring desired change to the polity and would give a new lease of living to Nigerian children who had suffered neglect and deprivation in the past.

“We are of the assurance that the President-elect would justify the confidence repose in him by Nigerians, even as we hope that he will not be partial in delivering general good to the generality of the populace.

“We admonish the Nigerian press for standing firmly in sustaining democracy, by given coverage to events as regard 2015 elections. We congratulate Nigerians regardless of ethnic and religious affiliations for making change possible at this time in history.

“CACTI salute the courage of out-going President Goodluck Jonathan for accepting defeat and for congratulating in record time. Realising the effect of war on the nation and especially our children, we would like to appreciate the effort of the Peace Commission, headed by General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
