PAINFUL EXIT OF NANA DE-SOUZA
Last week, fans of respected broadcaster and columnist, Nana De-Souza, were literally siezed by grief when the news of her death broke.
Society Happenings gathered that the elegant woman, who was also popular in the social scene, died of cancer at the age of 60 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana on April 20. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and battled to stay alive for over five years.
Until she passed on, she was involved in many events and shows in Nigeria. Besides, she was a columnist for several Nigerian publications, including The Punch and City People. She was also part of Silverbird Group Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant.
According to information, she will be buried in Accra on June 5. She is survived by her husband, Magnus De Souza, and four children. efforts to establish herself in the minds of music aficionados, she is also telling whoever cares to listen that her long-time mantra is: what a man can do, a woman can do even better. Unlike some other privileged children, she started to live independently of her parents at the young age. She had a clear vision of what she wanted to pursue later in life and she followed her dream undeterred.

Talented DJ Cuppy was also appointed one of the Nigerian Tourism Ambassadors by the Honourable Minister for Culture.
