Airtel in Strategic Partnershi­p with Oando to Expand Retail Footprints

Airtel Nigeria has announced a strategic retail partnershi­p with Oil and Gas Company, Oando Marketing, with the aim of deepening its retail footprints as well as bringing its innovative mobile telecoms services and solutions closer to telecoms consumers.

According to both companies, the landmark agreement, which was signed in Lagos, recently, would provide an opportunit­y for Airtel customers to access telecommun­ications solutions and services at over 300 Oando’ s retail outlets across the country.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Chief Sales Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Godfrey Efeurhobo, said the partnershi­p with Oando would enrich and empower the lives of millions of telecoms consumers.

According to him, Airtel’s strategic alliance with Oando is proof of its unwavering commitment to bring innovative, relevant and affordable telecoms packages to the doorsteps of millions of Nigerians.

He noted that the partnershi­p will further empower Nigerians with real-time mobile solutions be it voice or mobile internet to help them fulfill their communicat­ion potentials.

“Airtel Nigeria is committed to enriching lives, touching lives and building connected communitie­s of empowered Nigerians. We are also delighted that Oando has bought into our vision of ubiquitous retail presence,” Efeurhobo said.

“This is a special partnershi­p involving two leaders, Airtel and Oando. Oando is a force to be reckoned with in the oil and gas sector with over 300 retail presence across Nigeria. They saw value in us and through this mutual relationsh­ip have agreed to expand the values we both share,” he added.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief Operations Officer, Oando marketing, Mrs. Olaposi Williams, said: “We are elated about this partnershi­p as it is the coming together of two great brands. We are glad that Airtel chose to partner with us, and we see this as the beginning of great things.”

According to her, “At Oando, customer experience means a great deal to us and so it is easy for us to buy into the Airtel dream.

Airtel and Oando have so much in common, especially our commitment­s to corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR), top of which is our adopt-a-school programs. So it is obvious that this partnershi­p is great for Nigerians as we will also partner in doing several CSR programs beneficial to Nigerians.”
