CIIN Holds Fitness Walk

This year’s edition of the Annual Fitness Walk organised by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria(CIIN) will hold on Saturday May 16, 2015 .

The walk, which has provided a vast opportunity for insurance awareness is also tagged the Insurance Industry Road Show.

A statement from CIIN said this year’s edition will commence from the premises of NEM Insurance Plc, to terminate at the premises of Niger Insurance Plc, Anthony, Lagos.

The statement also said insurance practitioners are expected to participate in the walk wearing the colours of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. It added that the participants are also expected to display the banners of their respective companies while also distributing handbills with information on their companies and their offerings.

The Annual Fitness Walk is an insurance awareness platform involving all certified insurance operators in Lagos.

Speaking on the year’s edition if the exercise, Director General of the CIIN, Mr. Kola Ahmed, said the Fitness Walk has become a regular feature of the institute’s annual calendar of activities. Ahmed added that no less than 1,500 participants dressed in the CIIN colours will fly the banners of their respective companies while educating members of the public on essential insurance services and products.

The CIIN President, Mr. Bola Temowo has also called on insurance executives to participate in the walk, stating that the Fitness

Walk provides ample opportunities for physical fitness, especially for executives with busy business schedules.

He said attractive prizes await exceptional participants at the destination while the carnival like party offers immense attraction as usual.
