Amosun Promises More Developmental Projects
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has reiterated his commitment to the ongoing infrastructural projects in the state, promising that residents of the state will witness more developmental projects in his second term in office.
He made the above promise while welcoming members of the Three-Wheelers Association of Ogun State (UNITRAO) in his office at Abeokuta, recently.
Amosun, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ganiyu Olatunde, appreciated the union for supporting his administration in the past four years and voting him back into office for the second term.
We appreciate your support in the past four years and for voting us in again for the second term. Let me assure you that our achievements in the next four years will surpass the previous years and our developmental projects will cover every sector in all parts of the State to the benefit of all,” Amosun assured the union members.
The State helmsman assured the Union that their request would be granted soon as it has been forwarded to the House of Assembly for consideration.
Earlier, the Chairman of UNITRAO, Mr. Abdulazeez Shuaib congratulated the Governor for his success at the just concluded elections and wished him success as he runs the affairs of the State for another four years.
He appealed to the governor not to forget his promises to the people, especially to the Union, pledging their unflinching support for him.
We congratulate Senator Ibikunle Amosun for his success as our governor for the next four years. We want to appeal to him never to forget all the promises he made to us.
We know he is trustworthy because he has not only given us fish but he has actually taught us how to fish by empowering us. He should continue his good deeds and we also promise never to disappoint him,” he promised.
However, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekunbi who earlier received the union at the state assembly, appreciated them for presenting their request (approving their union) through appropriate quarters, saying the assembly will look into the request in line with Section 40 of the 1999 constitution as amended, which gives right of association to every citizen.
