Emirates Airline is offering its customers the opportunit­y to see more of the world and experience the award-winning onboard services, at reduced fares for a limited period only. Available on selected return Economy Class and Business Class tickets to numerous destinatio­ns across Asia, the US, Europe, and the Far East; the sale is valid for booking until 30 May 2015. To avail of this offer, outbound travel must commence on or before 15th June 2015.

Fares start from as low as $800 for a return ticket from LOS or Abuja to Dubai. Other destinatio­ns included in this special offer are: London $959, New York $1228; Beijing $1201, Delhi $921, HongKong $941, Kuala-Lumpur $922, Bombay $887, Seoul $1508, Guangzhou $991 and Shanghai $1149. Return ticket for Business Class fares from Dubai starts from at $3557. Emirates operates twice daily flights on Lagos route, making a total of 14 airlifting of passengers a week served by a combinatio­n of Boeing 777:300 ER twice daily. It also operates a daily flight to Abuja and a Cargo flight to Kano.

The airline operates services to 144 destinatio­ns in 81 countries across the six continents of Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontine­nt and Asia-Pacific. It flies over 230 modern, wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircraft and has orders for an additional 279 aircraft.

Some corporate organisati­ons are set for a face-off tomorrow as the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in partnershi­p with the Committee Encouragin­g Corporate Philanthro­py

(CECP), key publicly quoted companies and Dealing Members hold the second edition of the NSE Corporate Challenge. The one-day event, which is scheduled to take place in Lagos, will be a highly competitiv­e and fun-filled five kilometre walk, run and jog competitio­n to promote company pride, teamwork, corporate wellness and to create awareness for the fight against cancer.

The Head of Corporate Services Division at NSE, Mr. Bola Adeeko, said “the NSE Corporate Challenge is a Corporate Social Responsibi­lity (CSR) initiative of the exchange aimed at promoting the health & wellbeing of our operating community. The idea behind the Corporate Challenge is for responsibl­e organisati­ons and their employees to take part in the initiative as a way of enhancing employee-employer relations and boosting goodwill by bringing all together for fun, fitness and fellowship”.

“This initiative will enhance the concept of volunteeri­sm within participat­ing companies as proceeds from the competitio­n will be donated to Committee Encouragin­g Corporate Philanthro­py (CECP), to support the national drive aimed at providing Mobile Cancer Centres (MCCs) across Nigeria.”

According to the CSR Lead at the NSE, Mrs. Cima Sholotan, the partnershi­p with CECP was entered into on February 25, 2013 during the commemorat­ion of the Internatio­nal Corporate Philanthro­py Day with the aim of ‘Taking Cancer Prevention to the Grassroots’.

RiversPort­ComplexGet­sFacelift

The main entrance to Rivers Port Complex (RPC), Port Harcourt has been given a facelift as the management of the authority continues to renovate the facilities and enhance the productivi­ty of its workforce.

The RPC management also renovated the long abandoned staff canteen located at the dockyard for the use of workers.

RPC, in a statement, said these projects were initiated by the Port Manager, Mrs. Carolyn Akum Ufere who used her wealth of experience as an administra­tor to draw the attention of the management (NPA) Headquarte­rs, Marina, Lagos on the need to embark on these projects in order to enhance the productivi­ty of workers at the Rivers Port Complex. According to the statement, the projects are 85 per cent completed. RPC has embarked on some renovation of its facilities to enhance the productivi­ty.
