In Pursuit of My Dream

-

In spite of Nigeria’s fast paced economic growth rate, poverty still remains significant in Africa's biggest economy-Nigeria, with over 70% population living on $1.25 (N200) or even less per day. The recent report by the World Bank on the situation of poverty in the world ranks Nigeria third among world’s ten countries with extreme poor citizens. The report states that two-thirds of the world’s extreme poor are concentrated in just five countries: India, China, Nigeria, Bangladesh and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Despite several poverty alleviation and empowerment schemes, interventions have largely failed to overcome extreme poverty in Nigeria.

In an event organised by Gaurapad Charities, the Former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, (PMAN), Bolaji Rosiji, citing the three reasons for this persistent poverty in Nigeria as income inequality, ethnic conflict, and political instability, stated that the future of Nigeria rests on transitioning large numbers of people consistently into the middle class and that this socio-economic class has the greatest potential to drive the Nigerian economy and eradicate extreme poverty.

On the platform of Gaurapad Charities, he stressed that a lot of people have been empowered, where an average person earns a minimum of five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000) or more monthly with its unique business plan.

In what can be best described as show stopping, Gaurapad Charities took a new dimension during a promo launch held recently at her head office in Maryland, Lagos. This is coming on the heels of her Mega promo award ceremony held early this year, when several prizes were won, including a brand new cars and SUVs, all expense paid international trip to New York, Paris and Dubai and hosts of other gift items.

The company in a renewed effort to better the lives of the common man, has launched a mind-blowing promo, tagged; “Gaurapad Awoof Galore, Man Must Drive Car”. As explained by the Director of Operations, Mrs. Nike Denis, the objective of the promo is to reward consistent members and brings to reality the dream of owning a car and SUV. The nicely parked brand new 2015 Ford Explorer SUVs and the newest model of KIA Cerato greeted the event with thrills and spills. The auto display was the cynosure of all eyes. Hardly could anyone resist posing for a picture with the wide array of numerous automobiles, which are all up for grabs.

According to one of the winners of the last promo, Mr. Joetu Nekaro; “the dream is real! Gaurapad keeps her promises. I was astonished when the Winner of the Ford Edge was presented with her award; I thought it was a joke. I also went away with a brand new Generator, Flat screen LED TV, Home Theatre, Split Unit AC and a Double Door Refrigerator, in addition to an all-expense-paid international trip to Dubai.”

The human right activist founded Gaurapad Charities with a mission to provide holistic well being to society through unique and highly effective health care products while creating economic freedom for all involved. The company has grown in leaps and bounds serving over 50,000 members across the nation through its various offices in Lagos, Abuja, Warri and Port Harcourt.

As hinted by Mrs. Denis, Rosiji has a passion to create an enabling environment for healthy living and help people achieve financial freedom through Gaurapad Charities unique business plan. She stated that in the next few weeks, the company would be opening a branch in Onitsha, which will be followed by a grand official launch in Accra, Ghana. I woke up like this, I woke up like this.... flawless. The lines of the famous Beyoncé song. Every time I hear the song, the picture of my mum just comes to mind. The thing is I honestly think Beyoncé sang the song about her. Lol. Her skin is all so yummy. I constantly ask her how she got her beautiful skin and the response is always- “Baby girl, you need to treat your skin well “.

She enjoys going to spa. She’s never missed her weekly routines. I was so curious and wanted to know what exactly happens there. I accompanied her to the spa one day. Oh wow, it was so beautiful and well organised. I think this was when my dream came to birth.

I knew what exactly I wanted to study in the University. I started following my mum because I needed to know how the whole business was put to place. OH MY GOD! I finally struck a Gold mine. I overheard the spa owner telling one of her clients about the Swiss Hotel Management School. I went on Google and began researching. It was interesting to see a school that teaches Spa Management. I was finally going to achieve my dreams.

I remember all this as I pack my bags and get ready to go to Switzerland. My dreams would actually come through all thanks to the Swiss Education Group.
