The Management of Mikasa Residences, an upscale estate developer, over the week end in Abuja, unveiled 230 units of its boutique town-houses concept to the general public. The houses which are due for completion in 2017 have been described as not only cosmopolitan in nature, but the first of its kind to be executed in Abuja.

The 230 units residences being built in phases is located on a 12.5 hectares of land located at the serene environs of Galadimawa, Km 10, international airport road comprised of 184 units of 4 bedroom to 6 bedroom semi-detached duplex, 10 units of four (4) bedroom/stand-alone houses and 36 units of mixed houses. The concept has all the appurtenances that will suit the luxury life style of its residents.

The cost of the houses ranges from N110 million to N200 million, with payment convenience spread on the basis of 30, 40, 20 and 10 percentages.

The open session which was well attended attracted dignitaries majorly from the upscale private, public and expatriates from across the country. The duplexes which comprise between 4 bedrooms and 6 bedrooms have recreational areas such tennis court and gym, club house and five-a-side football pitch.

Addressing the media after the inspection tour, the company’s Head of Sales, Mrs. Ibitayo Ogbebor, said the architectural master piece of the houses will no doubt change the perception of how Nigerians invest in houses in Paris, London, New York and Dubai, adding that Mikasa homes can be compared with the best cosmopolitan houses built anywhere in the world.

Ogbebor averred that the houses present a sophisticated new concept in living, patterned after the emerging international boutique concept popularized in cities like London, New York, and Francisco.

According to her, Mikasa homes are stylish and intelligently designed by top architectural and interior design firms, adding that the houses are exclusive, tastefully designed with elegant interiors and modern facilities. Mikasa residences will provide residents with a unique lifestyle, she said.

She said: “Today’s event is to bring this estate to the knowledge of the general public as the standard of the house is next to non and cosmopolitan in nature as it is coming with proper luxury living, and once you get into the estate you completely forget everything that is outside the town.

“I’m sure that you can see evidence of that here, the facilities and everything here is underground except for the street lights. The water, ICT, sewage pipes are all underground.”

On the quality of houses being built by developers across the country, she said: “We have looked around and see that there are a lots of affordable housing as people would like to call it, but is the quality right, the answer is no.

“So we are giving people luxurious elegant options for a good price that is value for money. Like I said a lot of people go abroad to invest in house because they cannot get the kind of cosmopolitan building that you get in New York, Paris, London and Dubai.”
