Public Procurement Monitors
In a bid to ensure strict adherence and same time increase public literacy in procurement monitoring activities, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) in collaboration with the Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC), has organised a one-day training workshop for Youth Corps Members in Abuja. The training which is in-line with the key human development sectors of health and education among young people, is with support from the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA). Highlighting the positive correlation between procurement monitoring and anti-corruption, the Head, Youth Education and Mobilisation Unit of the Education Department, ICPC, Mr. Kingsley Obi while addressing the Corp members, urged them to take advantage of the training to enhance their knowledge on procurement monitoring as this would go a long away in shaping their chosen careers.
