How WAPIC Enhances Consumer Lifestyle

- Vanessa Obioha

In furtherance of its promise to continually offer value adding products and services to its numerous customers, Wapic Insurance Group recently unveiled its ‘Moov Motor Insurance’ under its non-life business and its revamped group life insurance policy.

The Moov policy is a flagship product scheme to replace the old motor product, whilst the group life insurance covers members of any organisation who take up the policy. Both policies are geared towards ensuring greater flexibility and convenience.

According to the Deputy Group Managing Director, Wapic Insurance Plc, Mr. Bode Ojeniyi, “the Moov Motor Insurance policy comes with four options, Moov, Moov Plus, Moov Prestige and Moov Luxury. Within each option, there is a menu of covers to choose from to suit your needs and budget. Each cover is priced separately and worked out by an automated calculator. There is room for flexibility as customers can choose to switch up within the main options available and in certain circumstances they can also switch down.”

Ojeniyi stressed that the insurance covers available include covers for private vehicles; minimum cover, which comes at no extra cost and available extra covers which comes with additional premiums. “The MOOV name brings the motor concept to life with a compelling Wapic message through brand identity, packaging, customer services and verbal identity,” he added.

Speaking further, the Managing Director, Wapic Life Assurance, Mr. Olaniyi Onifade, stated that the Wapic Group Life insurance policy offers the Wapic advantage of affordability, early disability benefits, statutory compliance and prompt claims settlement.

He stated that “for companies who choose the Wapic Life Assurance Group policy, affordability would entail that upon retirement, an employee can convert to individual life policy with Wapic at the same premium rate as Group Life cover which is much cheaper. Also in the event of permanent disability of an employee or on diagnosis of critical illness, we will arrange for an exceptional payment of his/her benefits despite the fact that death has not occurred.”

“Our customer service practice would ensure that a Wapic financial service adviser will be available to ensure that you seamlessly meet all statutory requirements. For claims you can rely on Wapic to pay your claims within 48 hours,” Onifade concluded.

For the company’s Group Managing Director, Mr. Ashish Desai, “Moov our motor insurance product has been redesigned to address the yearnings of customers for budget and life style flexibility. An integral part of this product, is the fact that the customer can literarily custom-create his insurance cover. We have also made the product more accessible for the insuring public as there are now more product purchase channels.”

He also emphasises that the “Group Life Insurance is a compulsory class of cover for all employers with three or more employees. With this in mind, we have similarly revamped this product to meet the needs of employers through simplified documentation process, premium payment and claim settlement for the benefit of their employees.”

Wapic is one of Nigeria’s oldest and strongest insurance providers, and one of only three insurance companies with an international risk rating.
