MTN Loses Wizkid to Glo

Multitalented and award-winning hip hop star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid) has dumped MTN and pitched his tent with Nigerian national telecoms operator, Globacom. THISDAY gathered that MTN did all it could to keep Wizkid, including pledging to increase his fee but the 25-year old superstar opted to quietly sign for Globacom about two weeks ago. As further revealed, the pressure mounted on Wizkid by both MTN and Globacom was intense and the superstar eventually decided to move to “greener pasture”. It was gathered that the sensational musician enjoyed his relationship with MTN and wished MTN well in all its endeavours. When contacted a manager in the Public Relations Department of Globacom neither confirmed nor denied the story.
