Africa Youth Conference
Nigeria will on August 12 play host to the rest of Africa on the firstever Africa International Youth Conference to commemorate this year International Youth Day set aside by the United Nations aimed at ensuring sustainable job creation and regional integration. The forum with the theme ‘Youth Civic Engagement’ will also beam it searchlight on global youth empowerment, job creation, raising quality and competitive Africa leaders. At a recent press briefing in Abuja, Chairman, International Youth Council Committee, Onu Okorie, said, “We appeal to President, Muhammadu Buhari, to seize this opportunity to address the problems affecting the youths in Nigeria and Africa in general, and he should also be ready to play host other African Heads of States. Also, I call on the youths to be ready to meet with the government when the need arises.
