‘Adoption of Technology will Enhance Students’ Competitiveness’

-

The Principal of Babcock University Schools, Ogba, Lagos, Gabriel Fasanu, has said the adoption of technology as an integral part of teaching and learning will enable Nigerian schools and their students at all levels to compete favourably with their counterparts globally.

Fasanu, who made this known at the second graduation and prize-giving ceremony of the school recently, said the country cannot afford to lag behind in the deployment of technology in her educational institutions at all levels.

He said technology would improve educational service delivery, while congratulating the students. “This will not be your last graduation; this is but a stepping stone to a greater height and higher purpose. Today is also a day to acknowledge and celebrate students that have excelled academically and morally because we celebrate excellence.”

While commending the administrative committee (ADCOM) members of the schools for their support, he said the school cares more about its students. “Together we are getting better, brighter and bigger. To our parents with two or more children here, we specifically appreciate you.”

The father of the day, Mr. Olufemi Omotoso, who is also a parent, said the school has added value to the educational pursuit of his children, adding that they are doing well in most of the important subjects as a result of the teaching method.

The mother of the day, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Adedapo, whose children were in St. Michael Dee Schools before the school entered into partnership with Babcock University, said she was excited when she heard that the university was to take over St. Michael Dee because of the academic excellence Babcock University and Babcock University High School are known for.

She said there have been many positive changes since Babcock took over the school, adding that spoken English by the students, their dressing and most importantly their academic performance have improved.
