CIIN President Tasks Insurance Chief Executives on Recreation­al Facilities

The President of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Mrs. Isioma Chukwuma has advised management of various insurance firms in the country to provide indoor games for their staff in the office environmen­t for relaxation of their employees at their spare time.

The CIIN president gave the advice at the 2015 annual insurance sector Picnic organised by the institute.

This year’s edition of the picnic held last Saturday at Eleko Beach, along Lagos/ Epe Express Road.

The CIIN president said it was a remarkable success with over four thousand picnickers in attendance.

This year’s picnic featured a variety of activities much like the Brazilian fantastico as picnickers displayed costumes and danced to the blare of music from hundreds of loud speakers in the beach sheds.

Touring the sheds, CIIN President with some Council members of the institute charged the picnickers to have a funfilled day, declaring that it was a day dedicated to enjoyment without recourse to the usual underwriti­ng business of insurance.

At the children’s corner, members of the Profession­al Insurance Ladies’ Associatio­n (PILA) were on hand to organise the little tots, sharing pleasantri­es with them and giving out gift packs to them as a mark of love.

Flagging off the picnic earlier, the CIIN President described the picnic as one of the social events aimed at providing ample opportunit­ies for insurance men and women to socialise and relax themselves outside the normal work place environmen­t.
