Ikpeba, Nwosu Admonish Camp GTBank Participants
Participants at the annual Camp GTBank which opened yesterday at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, have been charged to shun vices which might hinder them from getting to the height of their football career.
Speaking at a press conference at De Renaissance, Ikeja, to herald the opening of the camp, the duo of former Nigerian international, Victor Ikpeba and Henry Nwosu, advised the participants to be of good behaviour while in camp.
“The hallmark of a good footballer is to be well behaved and show good character. There were many talented players during my playing days that never got to the height of their career because of indiscipline,” Nwosu noted.
GTBank Senior Manager, External Communication and Public Affairs, Mrs. Oyinade Adegite, said 40 participants consisting of 30 boys and 10 girls that were identified from matches of the Principals Cup would be participating in this year’s edition, saying they should take advantage of having role models to look up to in their midst.
Four other ex-internationals, including Mutiu Adepoju, Yisa Sofoluwe, Anne Chiejinne, and Waidi Akanni are also part of the coaching crew.
