Lawmaker Commends Nigerian Breweries As More Winners Emerge in Promo

-

A law maker representing Surulere Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Desmond Elliot has commended Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc, describing it as a corporate organsation that has showed strong commitment to the development of its host community. This commendation came even as more winners are emerging in the in the on-going Gulder Ultimate National Consumer Promotion.

Latest winners in the promo include 21-year old Charles Ozoalor who eventually won the grand prize at the Ibadan leg after two unsuccessful, yet near-win attempts at winning a brand new Hyundai Elantra car and Chibueze Chukwuoti who emerged winner of a brand new Hyundai Elantra via a raffle draw held in Port Harcourt recently.

Hon. Elliot who presented the keys and documents of a brand new Hyundai Elantra to Chukwuoti at the corporate headquarters of Nigerian Breweries Plc, (NB) Iganmu-Lagos, said the company has not only focused on consumers of its products but has also positively impacted its host community in diverse ways. He commended the company for empowering youths through such promos as the one currently embarked upon by Gulder.

While basking in the euphoria of his winning one of the brand new Hyundai Elantra cars, Chukwuoti in a feat of excitement described Gulder beer as ‘Ekwueme’. Ekwueme in Igbo language is used to describe someone who fulfils his or her promises. Chukwuoti who made the remark while receiving his brand new car said he was overwhelmed with joy given his new status as a car owner. The University of Nigeria graduate of Medical Rehabilitation/Physiotherapy emerged winner of the brand new car in a raffle draw held in Port Harcourt recently. He said he decided to try out the promo when he saw the attractive prizes to be won and fortunately for him, he was picked in a raffle draw as the winner of one of the brand new cars.

Meanwhile, the brand new car eluded Ozoalor, a final year undergraduate, twice when he participated in the Enugu leg of the Gulder Ultimate Chase held on September 26 and at the Port Harcourt edition held on October 3.

Speaking on his previous Gulder Ultimate Chase experiences, the University of Nigeria law undergraduate said: “We ran from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to Okpara Square. I was so close to the car and I was the second person that the Gatekeeper handed over the map to. I was able to trace the location of three boxes. I opened the first two boxes and they were empty; but the guy behind me opened the third box which had the key. That was my experience in Enugu. The very fact that I came close to winning the grand prize made me not to lose hope. I felt that there was something in me that could still lead me to the ultimate prize.” He also stated that he was unlucky in Port Harcourt on October 3. Ozoalor however stated that he did not allow this losing streak to deter him. Instead, it spurred him to attend the Ibadan leg where he eventually emerged the grand prize winner.

The Gulder Ultimate Chase is part of the 2015 Gulder National Consumer Promotion which gives consumers the opportunity of winning a brand new Hyundai Elantra car if they are able to locate a chest which has the car keys. Discovering the chest is no mean feat as they have to overcome physical and mental tasking challenges which include running and making sense of the coordinates on a map.

To participate in the Gulder Ultimate Chase, consumers have to report at specific venues with six crown corks marked ‘Ultimate Chase’ and compete with other contestants. While the lucky winner will drive home a brand new car, other winners will go home with 200 mouth-watering prizes. Consumers can also win brand new cars via the electronic raffle draws. To win, they have to send the alphanumeric codes under the crown corks to 20388.

More winners are expected to emerge as the Gulder Ultimate Chase train moves to other states. Those in Lagos will equally be rewarded on October 24 at the National Stadium while the raffle draw will hold on October. The Gulder Ultimate Chase will hold in Owerri on November 7 at Dan Anyiam Stadium while the raffle draw will hold on November 8.

The Calabar Ultimate Chase event will hold on November 14 at the U J Esuene Stadium while Onitsha will host the event on November 21 at the Godwin Achebe Mini stadium. The raffle draw for Onitsha will hold on November 22.
