and several others.

Other music acts that mounted the stage for the 2015 edition of the event include popular indigenous rapper, Reminisce, Naeto C, Eedris Abdulkareem, Orezi, Dammy Krane, Kiss Daniel, Sugarbouy, Sexy Steel, Anderson, Obesere, Runtown, Solidstar and Seun Kuti, to name a few.

The event didn’t pass without its few chitchat moments one of which include Eedris Abdulkareem’s bombshell that President Muhammadu Buhari played an active role in the death of Afrobeat king, Fela, following currency trafficking charges brought against him in the 70s which led to his eventual jail term. Another highlight of the eventful week was the sixth day of the event when late Fela Kuti’s sons, Femi Kuti and Seun Kuti mounted the stage to give a near perfect rendition of Fela Kuti’s ‘Kalakuta Show’. The pair performed the song alongside the Egypt 80’s band which generated massive cheers among the large crowd.

On the same night, talented singer, Timi Dakolo mounted the stage amidst loud cheers and he delivered a mind blowing performance with a reggae rendition of his monstrous single, ‘Iyawo Mi’. Chidinma continued from where Timi Dakolo stopped with a mash up of her popular songs, ‘Kedike’, ‘You & I’, and more delivered in breezy style.

The 2015 edition will also go down into the history books as one that marked the colourful rendition of ‘Gentle Lady’ remix by foremost singer, Queen Salawa Abeni and his plus-size son, Big Sheff. The rapper got tongues wagging after he opted to remove his top to reveal his mammoth figure. The pose is still a topic of discussion on Nigerian blogosphere.
