FMDQ OTC, Access Bank, Back Capacity Building for Journalists
FMDQ OTC Securities Exchange, Access Bank Plc and Oando Plc are among the companies supporting the efforts by the Capital Market Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CAMCAN) to improve on the capacity of its members.
The association’s annual workshop is scheduled to hold in Lagos from Saturday, November 28 to Sunday November 29.
The annual workshop serves as an avenue for journalists covering the nation’s capital markets to sharpen their professional skills. The 2015 edition has “Effective Reporting of Changes in the Nigerian Capital Market,” as its theme.
According to CAMCAN, the nation’s capital market has witnessed some new developments in the past two years since two new over-the counter(OTC) platforms- FMDQ OTC Securities Exchange and NASD Plc commenced operations.
“These two platforms have brought some dynamism into the market and it is instructive for members of CAMCAN to understand their operations better in order to educate the wider reading public. By so doing, the market is being developed and made more attractive to investors,” the association said.
