Thrills and Frills at Pepsi Rhythm Un­plugged


Grammy Award win­ning singer, Trey Songz, rocked Pepsi Rhythm Un­plugged 2015 along­side his Nige­rian coun­ter­parts with scin­til­lat­ing per­for­mances to end the en­ter­tain­ment cal­en­dar on a bag.

Thou­sands of mu­sic lovers who thronged the event cen­tre of Eko Ho­tels La­gos were not dis­ap­pointed as the mu­sic acts gave good ac­count of them­selves.

Trey Songz, who is also a rap­per, song­writer and movie ac­tor, thrilled fans with his best stage­craft ever as he per­formed a med­ley of 17 songs from dif­fer­ent al­bums.

The sexy artiste per­formed along­side Davido to the cheer­ing of the elec­tri­fied au­di­ence. The fans were fur­ther thrilled when Songz an­nounced he would be do­ing a col­lab­o­ra­tion with Davido, an an­nounce­ment he re­vealed ear­lier at the press con­fer­ence.

Other big names that per­formed were Pepsi mu­sic am­bas­sador, Wizkid, ev­er­green group, ‘Reme­dies’, rap tal­ent, Olamide ‘Badoo’, MI, Run­town and Lil Kesh all gave the au­di­ence their times worth.

Mavin Record crew mem­bers-Reekado Banks and Korede Bello-added more spice to the ex­cite­ment and new act, Candy, win­ner of the Trey Songz in­sta­gram com­pe­ti­tion also got her chance to per­form with the big play­ers at the event.

Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Seven-up Bot­tling Com­pany, Mr. Su­nil Sawh­ney, said “Pepsi’s pas­sion is also the heart­throb of Nige­rian youths which is mu­sic and foot­ball that is why we are spon­sor­ing Pepsi Rhythm Un­plugged and COPA La­gos on the same day. Pepsi thanks all its teem­ing con­sumers for sup­port­ing the brand and this year we are thank­ing and re­ward­ing our con­sumers with the ‘Long Throat Bot­tle’ which is 60cl at the same price as 50cl.”

The event which started in the evening with the Pepsi blue-car­pet, ex­tended to the early hours of the next day with tal­ented disc jock­eys such as ver­sa­tile DJ Xclu­sive, beau­ti­ful DJ Cuppy and old timer, DJ Snoop, en­gag­ing the au­di­ence with an ar­ray of sounds from dif­fer­ent mu­sic gen­res.
