Ogiyan of Ejigbo, a Fountain of Knowledge, Says Senator Adeleke

The first executive governor of Osun State and the Senator representi­ng Osun West District, Senator Isiaka Adeleke has described the Ogiyan of Ejigboland, Oba Omowonuola Oyegade Oyesosin, as a fountain of knowledge and wisdom, from whom all and sundry, should tap from. Senator Isiaka Adeleke, said this in his goodwill message signed by his media adviser, Olumide Lawal to the revered traditiona­l ruler on the occasion of the celebratio­n of his 80th birthday. He described Oba Omowonuola Oyesosin as a true custodian to the exalted throne of Ogiyan whose forty-two yeas of meritori- ous reign has rubbed off positively on the people of Ejigboland in all spheres of life.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who is the Otunba of Ejigbo, recalled with pride Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin tremendous fatherly support for him in 1991, when he was contesting for the governorsh­ip race of Osun State. An effort which he said, went a long way, in his emergence as the first civilian governor of Osun State.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke emphassied, that the entire well being of Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin is a clear study in contentmet, trust and faith in God, humility, total dedication and com- mitment to the ideals of his high office as Ogiyan of Ejigbo. As a father to all, Senator Adeleke recalled, that the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, exudes royalty and carriage in its true sense of it that is very rare to comeby among his peers. He said the 80years sojourn of Kaabiyesi Oyeyode Oyesosin in the land of the living is not a mean feat but a true manifestat­ion of God’s grace and blessings on the life of the monarch, who has remained a reference point in selfless service to humanity with passion, within the limited resources that it has pleased God Almighty to endow him with.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke said pointedly, that Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyeso- sin is not the complainin­g type, but a father who is even ready to share the little or much he has with the needy, thus making him a man of the people.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who was represente­d at the occasion by his brother, Dr, Ademola Adeleke called on the citizens of Ejigbo at home and in Diaspora, particular­ly Cote d’voire, to join hands with Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin in making Ejigbo a star among the comity of urbanized towns in Osun State and indeed Nigeria.

He prayed for the monarch, God’s abiding grace, good health and long life in the service of his people.
