O0ni to Hosts ‘Home-Coming’ Festival for Yoruba Race
In his quest to unite all descendants of Oduduwa that make up the Yoruba race and revive aspects of the rich culture of the race that are fading away, the Oonirisa of Ile-Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja 11 has mandated two companies, Franchise & Enterprise Concerns and Newton Bourne & Anderson International to host a “Homecoming Festival” for all children of Oduduwa at home and in diaspora as a platform to unite and integrate them to create a lasting legacy for the Yoruba race.
Since his inauguration as the New Ooni of Ife, the Oba has moved to heal all wounds and formulate a bond amongst all Yoruba race by taking his message to the entire region closing the frictions that had existed amongst many Yoruba Obas since 1937.
With youth and exposure on his side, the Oba is further cementing his resolve of bringing all Yoruba together by creating a platform of unification with the festival.
Tagged Ile’ ya Omo Oodua (homecoming children of Oduduwa), the festival which has more than 14 different events is set to boost culture, increase tourism and empower more than 10,000 youths. According to the coordinators, Wale Williams (Franchise) and Jide Fadairo (Newton), the festival will see teams visiting Brazil, Cuba, the Americas, USA and Europe to drive home the message and set in motion partnership with tourism organizations in this various countries to ensure perfect organisation.
