REDAN,UNILAGtoBr­ainstorm on Enhancing Real Estate Value for Economic Growth

Real Estate Developers Associatio­n of Nigeria (REDAN) and the Center for Housing Studies, University of Lagos plan to brainstorm on how to grow the nation’s economy through real estate.

The 2-Day intensive workshop, which has the Theme ‘Enhancing the Real Estate Value Chain for Increased Economic Growth, Inclusiven­ess and Employment Generation,’ is being organised with the support of Housing Programme on AIT Abuja and Housing Time on Raypower. It will hold from 9th-10thof March, 2016 at Musa Yar’Adua Center, Abuja.

A statement signed by Festus Adebayo, the workshop marketing consultant explained that “the workshop is aimed at up-scaling practition­ers’ understand­ing of the business of real estate; navigating on ways and means to fund housing constructi­on in a developing economy; enhancing the capacity and effectiven­ess of the housing developmen­t dynamics in Nigeria; and to broaden the understand­ing of financing module to build affordable housing from a vantage position.

He further said event would be declared open by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, and that it would attract estate developers, State Government Ministries of Lands and Housing, Primary Mortgage Banks, Pension Managers, Building Materials Manufactur­ers, and Profession­als in the constructi­on industry, among others. The REDAN 2016 Annual General Meeting will hold during the event.
