Black Entertainment Africa (BET) network is to honour Senegalese-American singer, Akon with a humanitarian award tagged ‘Global Good Award’.

The Grammy award nominee, multi-platinum selling singer, entrepreneur and philanthropist has been picked by the Awards organisers for his unrelenting effort towards powering his home continent, Africa through a solar light up Africa project aimed at providing electricity to millions of homes in Africa.
