Accessorise Like a Real Man

-

Accessories are the items men generally pay the least attention to (like men pay more attention to their suits than their cufflinks), yet they are the icing on the cake of a man’s wardrobe. For this reason, I want to nail all those major facts you need to know on how to accessorise like a real man. Come with me then!

Pocket Square Don’t wear the same pocket square style every time and pick a style that flaunts the pocket square just a bit. The puff, the a-fold the list goes on and on. Pick your favorite.

Never use it for anything even to offer it to a crying woman, it is only for show.

Don't match it identically to your tie every time; instead look for colours and patterns that resonate with your neckwear.

Suspenders Know the difference between clip-ons and braces. While braces refers to buttonon suspenders, generally made of higher quality materials and intended for business and dress wear, clip-ons are like the name suggests clipped on and can be worn with either dress or casual attire. Don't wear a belt and suspenders. Do take off your jacket and show off your suspenders.

You can wear suspenders with no suit jacket or sport coat at all.

Suspenders can be worn both formally and casually.

Cufflinks Do wear them with French cuffs. Don't just own one pair. Instead, build a collection of cufflinks that show off your style and personality.

Match metals, that is your metal cufflinks with your watch and your belt buckle.

Don't: wear them everyday, keep your style interesting and versatile. Necktie Pick a knot that compliments your shirt collar.

Don't wear your necktie below or above your belt line. Do wear a tie dimple. Don't worry if the dimple is a side dimple there are both side dimples and centre dimples.
