Omogb eh in' s in a statement yesterday said timely interventi­on of the police and the Department of State Security, (DSS), would ensure that the monarch regained his freedom unhurt, noting that the abduction was creating state of uncertaint­y among the people of his constituen­cy. While commending the efforts of the security operatives so far to rescue Oba Oyewun mi, Omogb eh in pleaded that involvemen­t of all top stakeholde­rs would complement the rescue operation. The People' s Democratic Party( P DP) legislator also urged men of the Nigerian Navy to assist in the situation since it was gathered that the suspected kidnappers escaped through the waterway at Ode-Iyasan. “This is strange in our land for a traditiona­l ruler to be abducted in his palace, it is abominatio­n, ungodly and attempt to desecrate the revered traditiona­l institutio­n in Yoruba land, I think all must rise against this singular callous and anti-people act.
