Stakeholders Hail NCS

Information and Communications Technology stakeholders have commended the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) for the successful hosting of its 2016 annual conference on National Safety and Security.

The 900 plus attendees said the conference was a remarkable success based on feedback.

Attendees, speakers and exhibitors gathered in Abuja from July 19 to 21, 2016 for Technical Sessions, Cyber Defence Competition, Youth and Innovation Platform, Annual General Meeting, IT Competitions, Tech Exhibitions, Networking Events and learning sessions of NCS.

It was described as amazing three days of expert learning, experience sharing, policy examination and networking! Over the course of the conference, attendees heard from dynamic speakers with practical tips, advice and experience that highlighted the theme and sub themes, as well as high-level views of where IT in national safety and security is going.

The Guest of Honour, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal represented by the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs Office of the SGF, Ambassador Olukunle Bamgbose, commended NCS for choosing a topical theme that is a priority of the federal government, while the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu in delivering his keynote speech emphasised the need for NCS to proffer solutions in this area being the nation’s professional authority in information technology field.
