Gojere Landlords Holds First Service Awards

The Landlords of Gojere Community, in Oriade Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, will on Saturday, 17 December, 2016 host eminent members of the society on the occasion of its First Distinguished Service Awards.
The ceremony put together by the Gojere Landlords Association, (GLA), an umbrella body of property owners in the community, is to recognise and appreciate certain individuals and organisations, who have made remarkable contributions to the development of the community. Speaking at press briefing in Lagos, the Secretary of the association who doubles as the 2016 Award Committee Secretary, Mr. Chike Uchime, said the Award which was intended to reward achievers, is also aimed at inspiring young and upcoming leaders in the society. According to Uchime, “some of the awardees include: His Majesty, Rufai AkanbiJubril, Baale of Gojere community, Mrs. Magdalene Okonne, Prince Abayomi Odus, Alhaji Abdulrahman Balogun and Alhaji Mohammed Adah. “Others are Chief Fred O. Efeomo, Chief Innocent Mbadike, Chief Peter Okorie and Mr. Vincent Akinrolabu. The post-humous and corporate category awards go to Pa Ade Badekale (Zipel) and Ibuolu Schools respectively. The secretary also explained that the Award ceremony is part of the association’s ‘2016 End of the Year Party Ceremony’ taking place at the Twinade Event Cenre, Ojo Lagos, noting that it would be chaired by the Minority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency II, Hon. Hakeem Bello, while Distinguished Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan (Iyayi) and Hon. Oghene Egoh, Senator and Member, representing the area at the National Assembly, are the Special Guests of Honour.
