NTI DG Stresses Institute’s Role in Education Devt.

The National Teachers Institute (NTI), Kaduna has been repositioned to play its role in the educational development of the country, The Director-General and Chief Executive of the institute, Prof. Garba Dahuwa Azare has said.

The Director-General who disclosed, this in a statement, said the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institute and the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is already impacting positively on the institute, noting that with the repositioning , the quality of its students are of best international standards.

He said as part of efforts to ensure easy enrollment for the programmes of the institute, a new portal; www. nti.edu.ng, was recently launched.

According to the statement, “registration for academic programmes has been extended to the end of May to allow for hitch free registration among students and applicants.”

Azare said all the programmes offered by the institute had been duly approved by the relevant authorities, making it one of the best teacher training institutions.

He called on state governments to take advantage of the facilities at the institute by upgrading and updating the capacity of school teachers through trainings.
