PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE’S PASSION
Princess Kelechi Oghene, a socialite and fashion enthusiast, last Sunday, launched her foundation, GMYT, at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
It was in fulfillment of her life-time dream to promote entrepreneurship and women empow- erment, while also tackling high unemployment rate in the country.
Besides, the GMYT is an empowerment platform for under privileged women to learn various aspects of fashion illustration, design, and manufacture.
The foundation not only desires to train and equip women with skills in fashion design, but also seeks to provide them business knowledge to enable them start and grow sustainable businesses and in turn serve as vehicles for empowerment and employment.
Talking about the project, she disclosed that her vision in the second half of this year was to provide “scholarships for 100 women to my GMYT Fashion Academy.”
The launch was well attended by eminent personalities.
