BATTLE OF THE REFINERIES?

The federal government said in 2016, through the Honourable Minister of Petroleum Resources, that Nigeria was putting in place measures in the oil sector aimed at meeting the needs of Nigeria’s local consumption before the year 2019.

There is also information to the effect that the federal government is planning the concession of some of our refineries. If that is the case, and if by the year 2019 private oil companies begin refining crude oil, our refineries will no longer be useful.
