FOR THE LOVE OF IDPS, 2BABA, OTHER STARS PERFORM AT ABUJA EARGASM

-

Ever since, Efe Omoregbe’s Buckwyld Media introduced its love themed concert, ‘Eargasm’, many have taken note of the word, particularly for its sexual undertone. This could have been deliberate as the show was originally planned to take place around Valentine’s Day. Yes, the idea is still about deriving a sense of pleasure, but this time from listening to music. The intention was to give lovers a remarkable experience. The first edition was held last February at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos and everyone who attended agreed it was seductive and entertaining.

The headline artiste, 2Baba had promised no less and he went ahead to deliver on his pledge. In recent years, 2Baba has been associated with good causes which have translated him from a phenomenal artiste to a respected crusader. Increasingly, he has been associated with projects that seek to make the Nigerian society a better place for everyone. Months before the last general election, he traversed the country on a voters’ enlightenment campaign called, ‘Vote Not Fight’.

Although, he beat a retreat with his last effort to awaken the conscience of Nigerians to the shenanigans of politicians, many still praised for making an effort. This time, 2Baba is rallying his friends for a good cause. The plight of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs has touched the famous musician’s heart, therefore, he has asked songstress, Waje, Styl Plus and Kelly Hansome to join him in a special charity performance to raise funds for the welfare of these unfortunate Nigerians.

The Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja is the place to be on July 22 for the second edition of the critically-praised Eargasm. 2Baba has promised to deliver another evening of mind-blowing entertainment and pleasant surprises.

Eargasm: Special IDP Charity Edition is the first of many fundraising events lined up by The 2Face Foundation and UNHCR as part of its commitment to raising funds to support the IDP intervention programs. Proceeds from the event will go to assisting fellow Nigerians living in IDP camps across the country.

Like previous Eargasm editions, fans of diverse music tastes, genres and generations will be treated to a unique and unforgettable experience through the rendition of classic tunes with fresh twists. The fact that this edition is designed to raise IDP intervention funds and awareness makes it significantly more worthy of attending. The 2Face Foundation is a non-governmental organization focused on peace building in Nigeria through projects like ‘A Million Voices for Peace’, ‘The 2Face Peace Awards’, ‘Vote Not Fight’ and now this IDP support initiative with the UNHCR.
