Three months after the turbaning ceremony of Nasiru Danu, an Abujabased businessman and founding member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the first Dan Amana Dutse, guests have not stopped ululating and gushing about how he gave everybody both the royals and peasant presents the time of their life. Held in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, the young multimillionaire turned the Royal Golf Course in Dutse into a sprawling cabaret. Some of the guests at the ceremony were the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, the First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Minister of Aviation, Rotimi Amaechi and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. That was in May. One wonders for how long those who attended his wedding last weekend in Abuja would talk about the sheer display of opulence and premium hospitality. Nasiru, whose company, Casiva Limited, is into construction, procurement, logistics, security services, as well as an active player in the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry, got married to his heartthrob, Amne Ken Salem, and made the federal capital territory to burst at the seams. All the power brokers in Abuja set everything aside to celebrate with Nasiru. Though in his early 40s, the polo buff is an adopted son of President Muhammadu Buhari. He was the number two-man in the Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation. Thus, favour seekers and oil moguls, politicians and businessmen stormed his wedding to show solidarity and to usher him into the gentlemen’s club.
