Honours for Governors, Profession­als at Abuja Housing Summit

In its quest to make Nigeria’s real estate/building industry occupy its rightful place in the nation’s economic rating, Housing Circuit Magazine has announced its nomination­s for the forthcomin­g Housing Circuit Awards Night.

The exclusive gathering, scheduled to hold at the Abuja Sheraton Hotel and Tower on September 27, 2017 will wind up series of activities for the forthcomin­g Housing Summit 2017, a joint initiative of Housing Circuit Magazine and the Senate Committee on Lands, Housing and Urban Developmen­t, National Assembly.

In a statement by the Publisher/CEO of Housing Circuit Magazine, Mr. Seun Jegede, “recipients are meritoriou­sly drawn from both the public and private sector and the list of Twelve nominees include state executives, technocrat­s and profession­als from the built sector.

“As an active player in the housing sector and watchdog of operators in the Industry, the Awards night is a way of celebratin­g, recognisin­g and invariably appreciati­ng excellent performanc­es in the Sector.”

The list of awardees include: Barr Nyesom Wike, Governor Rivers State; Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Governor Ogun State; Mallam Nasir El Rufai, Governor Kaduna State and Alhaji Dr Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, Governor Zamfara State.

Others are Surv. Akhigbe Klein Irene, Managing Director Digital Horizon Ltd; Alhaji Abdullahi Runai, Managing Director Brains and Hammers Ltd; Mr Herbert Wigwe, Managing Director Access Bank Plc; Professor Charles Inyangete, Managing Director, Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company; Engr Kamila Maliki, Registrar COREN; TPL Wasiu Anifowoshe, Lagos State Commission­er for Physical Planning and Urban Developmen­t; Mrs Mercy Torkwase Iyortyer, President Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Arc Mrs. Olajumoke Adenowo, Managing Director AD Consulting Limited.

The main conference, scheduled for September 26/ 27 on the theme ‘Addressing Housing Stock Deficit in Nigeria’ has the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun as the Lead Speaker and will be chaired by Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, is to declare the conference open.

The Awards Dinner will also witness the investitur­e of Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Chairman Senate Committee on Land Transport as patron of the Magazine.
