Over 1, 000 Pageants for Queen Moremi Aja­soro 2017 Au­di­tions

Af­ter weeks of go­ing through the thou­sands of ap­pli­ca­tions re­ceived for this year’s edi­tion of the Queen Moremi Aja­soro (QMA) Beauty Pageant, all is now set for the se­ries of au­di­tions with over 1, 000 beauty queens pen­ciled down for se­lec­tion to fea­ture in the grand fi­nale.

Ac­cord­ing to the Am­bas­sador of Queen Moremi Legacy, Princess Ronke Ade­miluyi, who is co­or­di­nat­ing this sec­ond edi­tion of the beauty con­test ini­ti­ated by the Ooni Ife, Oba Adey­eye Eni­tan Ogun­wusi Ojaja II, as part of ac­tiv­i­ties to pre­serve and pro­mote the lega­cies of the leg­endary Ife queen, the cul­tural beauty con­test, is now in its fi­nal lap with the re­lease of the au­di­tions dates.

“All au­di­tions for QMA Nige­ria 2017 will take place from Mon­day Oc­to­ber 30 to Wed­nes­day Novem­ber 1, 2017 at the Kings Palace in Enuwa, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nige­ria,” dis­closed Ade­miluyi, who is also the Founder of Nige­ria Fash­ion Week La­gos and Lon­don. “All reg­is­trants are re­quired to come to Ife for a chance to win N5m in­vest­ment fund, they must be pre­pared to travel to Ife for one day au­di­tion only,” she added.

She ex­plained that con­tes­tants for the cov­eted crown would be given dates for au­di­tion­ing in ac­cor­dance with their regis­tra­tion. This year’s au­di­tion will take a new shape as it will en­tail such sec­tions as a two hour QMA Women Men­tor­ship pro­gramme pow­ered by the House of Oduduwa Foun­da­tion in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the In­ter­na­tional Women's So­ci­ety.

Be­sides the N5 mil­lion in­vest­ment fund, win­ner of the beauty pageant, which grand fi­nale is billed for La­gos in Novem­ber, will also be an am­bas­sador of the Ooni, as she will ac­com­pany the royal fa­ther on his trips and events in and out­side the coun­try while she is also ex­pected to carry her­self with dig­nity and ex­pose the char­ac­ters and lega­cies of QMA in both her can­dour and pub­lic out­ings.

Ade­miluyi promised the con­tes­tants a good time at Ife as she in­formed that all lo­gis­tics for a suc­cess­ful and event­ful au­di­tion ses­sions have been put in place while ad­vis­ing the beauty queens to travel with all that they would re­quire to con­test for the crown, in­sist­ing that only the best and wor­thy queens both in char­ac­ter and learn­ing, who meet with the high stan­dard of the com­pe­ti­tion would scale the hur­dle.
