CGM Bishop Launches Two Books

Bishop Matthew Egwowa of Church of God Mission International (CGM), Mafoluku, Lagos, has launched two books titled: ‘20 lessons on the death of the giant’ and ‘The act of God Volume 2’, the launching which coincided with the Independence Day celebration, also marked the start of the 2017 edition of the Burning Bush, a week-long programme.

Speaking at the event, Eqwowa said the 20 lessons are like 20 triggers an individual can press to bring down every personal Goliath, adding that they are powerful divine nuggets to be activated in every battle of life. “These giants appear as mountains or seemingly insurmountable human problems.”

He also stated that the giant of all spiritual warfare is satan and he has fallen, stressing that when Goliath fell, all his soldiers ran away. “Unfortunately, Christians are running in the wrong direction instead of giving chase and gathering the spoils, they are fleeing from the minions of an enemy that has fallen.

“The Acts of God II essentially derives from the miracle root of CGM delivered to our founder, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, in the scripture that says ‘I and the sons the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders’. CGM is a miracle-based and load removing ministry akin to the ministry of Jesus Christ. The testimonies contained in the book are our daily, regular experiences in our meetings and services,” he stated.

He called on clergymen not to be satisfied with just preaching, but to strive to see that people are practically comforted by the supernatural words they impart and bring joy and peace to the sinner, poor and sick.

The Bishop revealed that the over seven years 'Burning Bush' is a revival programme to reignite and uphold the faith of Christians who have either not had their year's prayer requests answered and those who have had theirs answered and consequently turned down the fervency of their prayers as the year begins to wind down.
