MAAN Holds 8th Practical Maritime Dispute Resolution Seminar

The Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria (MAAN) will hold its 8th Practical Maritime Dispute Resolution Seminar on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd November, 2017, at the Lagos Court of Arbitration,

The Seminar is designed to provide participants, with deep insights regarding issues relevant to Arbitration and Dispute Resolution generally in the maritime sector. It will bring together, a wide range of interesting topics to be presented by leading practitioners in Maritime, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.

The topics to be discussed include : Nigeria and the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006: An Appraisal; Ship Acquisition and Finance: A Critical Examination of the Nigerian Perspective; Nigeria’s Admiralty Juri s diction Procedure Rules, 2011: A Critical Appraisal; Ship Building and Ship Acquisition Procedures; Arbitration and the Choice of Law: An Overview; Third Party Funding in Arbitration; Recent Developments in the Legal Framework of Arbitration in Nigeria; and The Nigerian Blue Economy: Challenges & Opportunities.
