Efekoha Bags IoD Fellow Award

The Chairman, Nigerian Insurers Associatio­n (NIA) and Managing Director, Consolidat­ed Hallmark Insurance Plc, Eddie Efekoha, was among 40 eminent profession­als and business leaders conferred with the fellowship of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria recently.

The Director-General/CEO of the institute, Dele Alimi, who spoke at the event in Lagos, said the award is for members with a minimum of 10-year directorsh­ip experience in reputable organisati­ons and have distinguis­hed themselves over the years.

The event also featured conferment of Distinguis­hed Fellow Award on two past presidents of the institute, Chief Eniola Fadayomi and Samuel Yemi Akeju as well as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele and Chairman, Thorbourn Investment Limited, Justin Emmanuel.

The list also includes: President Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc., Jim Ovia; Chairman, John Holt, Christophe­r Ezeh.

Among those to be upgraded as fellows are: MD/CEO, Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc., Dr. Olusegun Omosehin and Director, First Bank Nigeria, Ambrose Feese,

Others are: MD/CEO, Heritage Bank, Ifie Sekibo; Chairman, Mobil Oil Nigeria, Oyetunji Oyebanji; Registrar General, Corporate Affairs Commission, Alhaji Bello Mahmud and MD/CEO, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporatio­n (NDIC), Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim among others.
